Building a Hong Kong-Shenzhen Metropolis

Commencing January 2007, the project seeks to study how the Governments of the Hong Kong SAR and Shenzhen can better facilitate the flow of people, goods, information and capital between the two cities in their respective policies.

The research includes literature review and interviews with Government officials and senior personnel of private enterprises from the two cities and surveys on Shenzhen citizens. The study also involves economic modeling and projection of the economic efficiency resulting from the development of a Hong Kong-Shenzhen Metropolis.
