One-stop welfare service

Different welfare schemes in Hong Kong are administered by different Government departments, making the application and approval procedures rather complicated especially for people who may need to apply for all of them. The idea of providing a one-stop service for processing applications for welfare benefits, as suggested in the 2014 Policy Address, is a good start. The Centre’s weekly analysis examines the feasibility, advantages and difficulties of this new initiative.
