While there are numerous social enterprises in Hong Kong, those who choose to scale up their operations are rare. The Centre’s weekly analysis examines the reasons behind and introduces social enterprises that have successfully expanded. The article points out that franchising, ‘Blue Ocean strategy’ and nurturing other new social enterprises are effective methods on scaling up social enterprises.
