Both the occupy movement and the controversies over the moral and national education show that young people want a say in civic and political issues. The Centre’s weekly analysis looks into elections, the age of officials and legislators, and policy consultation, amongst other things, to explore the current political involvement of local youth. The article points out that due to their relative disinterest in elections and an aging population, getting their voices heard in elections is an uphill battle for the younger generation.
