The Government has launched a consultation on regulating private healthcare facilities last December and proposed to introduce a new legislation accordingly. This week, the Centre points out that the existing regulatory regime is outdated due to technological advancement in medical aesthetics industry. Introducing a new legislation is the first step towards enhancing regulatory system in future.
