Beyond treasure: Hong Kong poverty at a glance



Government statistics show that the population below poverty line in Hong Kong has dropped from 1,340,000 to 970,000 after policy intervention in 2013. Meanwhile, stories of the disadvantaged group continue to be reported. This week, the Centre examines the Government’s policy on poverty alleviation beneath the apparent decrease in poor population in Hong Kong.
