From inside out to outside in: When cosplay falls within a study area of Liberal Studies



What brings characters from the virtual world to life? The answer is cosers who strive to imitate such characters in both form and manner. The Centre’s weekly analysis introduces cosplay and talks about why cosers indulge in acting as fictional characters. Cosers work hard to customise their costumes and ensure their attitude and behaviour resemble fictional characters, and work as a group in costume-producing and cosplaying. These might transform cosplay from a mere hobby to personal growth.
