Driverless cars can solve problems - at the price of creating new ones



As technology keeps improving, autonomous driving technology could be just around the corner. While such technology could reduce incidents involving human errors, it could also create new problems, such as malicious hacking or purposely tricking the driving system. The ethical question of how cars should be programmed to choose the lesser of two evils in case of accidents – who should be sacrificed – has to be addressed.
