Fake news and misinformation circulated widely on social media have been blamed for misleading the public and manipulating public opinion. While some people urge social media companies to step in and regulate such phenomenon, there is concern that if social media platforms are allowed to impose their will on their users, they will stray from their original stance of being ‘neutral’.
