Safety talk for ethnic minorities: How to break the language barriers?



Every now and then, there are fatal industrial accidents involving ethnic minorities. Research indicates that language is a barrier to the circulation of occupational safety and health information, which increases the risk faced by ethnic minorities at work. Apart from printing leaflets in ethnic minority languages and promulgating via airwaves, stepping into the ethnic minorities’ community might help spread the message.
