The Government has established the Child Development Fund, aiming to encourage underprivileged children to better plan their lives, develop savings habits and accumulate different types of intangible assets, in order to help them foster long term goals and personal growth. The current curriculum appears to be effective, but society still needs to consider alternative ways to encourage children with different abilities and mentalities to participate, as opposed to limiting the selection pool to children who are already determined to make a change in their lives.
