The widespread of the 'Me Too' hashtag on social media has brought global attention to different sexual assault incidents. In Hong Kong, an athlete’s revelation of being sexually assaulted when she was a secondary school student has also aroused public concern over the effectiveness of measures to protect children and teenagers from sexual assault, including the coverage of the Sexual Conviction Record Check Scheme and whether organisations serving children and teenagers have developed sexual harassment policies.
