According to Chief Secretary and Chairperson of the Commission on Poverty Carrie Lam, the upcoming poverty alleviation work would enhance the education support to the underprivileged children and improving their opportunities for upward social mobility. The Centre’s weekly analysis examines how educational expenditures affect students from the underprivileged family in moving up the social ladder and points out the importance of scholarships and information accessibility on the chances of receiving quality education for the underprivileged students. The article suggests the Government to build a better information platform in order to help students get information about tuition support and scholarship.
